Preventing Sexual Misconduct
Sexual misconduct stops when we step up. That’s why UMD offers programming and training that promotes bystander intervention in order to prevent and end sexual misconduct. Our faculty and staff are required to complete online training on sexual misconduct. All incoming students are required to complete a sexual assault awareness and prevention module before their first semester. Our public health awareness campaign, It Ends Here, promotes bystander intervention.
